April is Parkinson's Awareness Month

Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement.  Parkinson's disease is an illness we are very passionate about at Unique Finds For Kids as it hits close to home.  With every purchase made on UniqueFindsForKids.com, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Parkinson's Foundation (Parkinson's Champions).

We are also excited to announce that Unique Finds For Kids will be participating in the 2018 Parkinson’s Unity Walk in New York City’s Central Park to be held on a Saturday, April 28, 2018 (rain or shine)!  UFFK will be joining the walk to help raise Parkinson's disease awareness and funds for research.

Did you know...

  • Over one million people in the United States are living with Parkinson’s disease (including my father and brother).
  • Every nine minutes someone is newly diagnosed and while there are treatments to help manage the symptoms, currently there is no cure.

Walking and fundraising is a chance to help fight against Parkinson’s. And with the Parkinson’s Unity Walk, 100% of donations go to research funded by five major Parkinson’s foundations. The Parkinson’s Unity Walk is the largest grassroots fundraiser for Parkinson’s disease research in the country. The Parkinson's Unity Walk is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 13-3842415) and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Let’s make a difference together!  Please help support my fundraising efforts. To donate, please visit our personal fundraising page.  Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up!

We greatly appreciate your support.

P.S.  Thanks again for any support you can give!   You can also donate offline. Please make all checks payable and mail to:
